NOT A GOOFBALL HAPPINESS BUT A THICK AWARENESS OF BEAUTY
4 minutes. Color. Sound. Single screen.
This is a film poem exploring the intrusion of invisible violence into our innermost lives by the prevailing order – using obsessive images, movie soundtrack hypnosis, words, and the subtle intensities of camera-vision.
Repetition is vital. A radicalize investigation confronting expectations of beauty, humor and absurdity. A reframing of often-vulgar entertainment industry humor concerning sex, and gender attitudes and power relationships. A cinema poem concerning materialist control, internal limitations, and liberation.
